Tree Service in Carrollwood, FL

One of the oldest planted canopies in the county, and the maintenance that comes with it.

Carrollwood is ten minutes from our yard and it is where some of the county's oldest suburban tree planting happened. Original Carrollwood dates to the late 1950s, so the trees that came with those houses are now sixty-plus years old.

A canopy that age is beautiful and it is work. Most of what we do here is maintenance pruning and deadwood removal on trees people would very much like to keep.

Sixty-year-old plantings

The live oaks through Original Carrollwood and Carrollwood Village are mostly in good shape and should outlive everyone reading this, provided the deadwood comes out and nobody tops them. The laurel oaks planted alongside them are a different story: at this age many are hollowing, and they are the ones that drop limbs on cars. Telling the two apart on your own lot is worth doing, and we will do it during the estimate at no charge.

HOA and deed restrictions

Carrollwood Village and several of the surrounding communities have active architectural committees with their own tree rules, and some require approval before removal. We provide certificates of insurance and written scopes for HOA submission as a matter of course.

Lake Carroll and Lake Magdalene

The lakeside properties have big oaks leaning out over water on ground that stays soft. Those get climbed and rigged rather than reached with a bucket, and limbs come down over the yard, not the lake.

Tree service in Carrollwood: common questions

My HOA needs paperwork before I can remove a tree. Can you help?
Yes. We provide a written scope of work and a certificate of insurance, which is what most Carrollwood associations ask for. Approval itself comes from them, not us.
Can an old oak be saved?
Often, yes. Live oaks in particular respond well to having deadwood removed and end weight taken off the long limbs. We would rather prune a tree you love than sell you a removal.
