Valrico lots run larger than most of the county, which changes the work. There is usually room to drop a tree properly rather than take it in twenty-pound pieces, and that makes removals faster and cheaper here than the same tree would be in South Tampa.
It also means people have more trees, and more of them are old.
Grove leftovers
Much of Valrico was citrus before it was subdivisions, and a fair number of properties still have old grove trees at the back of the lot. Most are past producing and many are carrying greening. They are small, easy removals, and clearing them usually opens up more usable yard than people expect.
Room to work
On a half-acre or better with clear access, we can often fell a tree in one or two pieces instead of dismantling it from a bucket. That is a real difference in labor and it shows up in the quote. Tell us about the access when you call and we will factor it in.
Sandy soil and root plates
The soil through much of Valrico drains fast and holds a root plate less firmly than heavier ground. After a run of heavy summer rain, trees that have never moved can develop a lean. A fresh lean with cracked or heaved soil on the uphill side is not something to wait out.
