Seffner sits between Tampa and Plant City just off I-4, and it is an easy run for us. The housing is older than Brandon's and the lots are generally larger, which means mature trees with room around them.
Most of what we do here is straightforward: removals with decent access, and maintenance pruning on trees that have gone a long time without any.
Trees that have never been pruned
A lot of Seffner properties have been in the same hands for decades and the trees have simply been left to it. That is not always a problem, but it does mean accumulated deadwood, crossing limbs, and canopies that have grown well over the roof. A first proper prune on a tree like that makes a bigger difference than people expect.
Good access, better prices
Larger lots and wider driveways mean we can usually get the bucket truck and the chipper right up to the tree. That takes real labor out of the job, and the quote reflects it. The same tree in a South Tampa side yard costs meaningfully more to take down.
Sinkhole country
This part of Hillsborough County has a documented history of sinkhole activity. A tree that suddenly leans, or ground that has visibly dropped around a trunk, is worth reporting to your insurer as well as calling us about. We will take a hazardous tree out; assessing the ground underneath it is a geotechnical question, not ours.
