Tree Service in Land O' Lakes, FL

Lakefront oaks and big wooded lots, straight up US 41 from Lutz.

Land O' Lakes is the northern edge of where we work regularly, and it is worth the drive. Lots here are large, properties are wooded, and there are lakes everywhere, which produces the kind of tree work that actually needs a crew that knows what it is doing.

It is Pasco County, so the rules differ from Hillsborough, and much of it is well outside any city limit.

Lakefront work

Lake Padgett, Lake Thomas and the smaller lakes through the area all have properties with big oaks leaning out over the water on soft, sandy ground. There is usually no way to get a truck to them, so they are climbed and rigged, and the limbs come down over the yard.

Big lots, big trees

Acreage properties out here carry trees that have never been pruned in their lives, some of them genuinely large live oaks with sixty-foot lateral limbs. End weight on a limb like that is what breaks it. Reduction pruning on the long laterals is far cheaper than dealing with what happens when one fails.

Distance and scheduling

Land O' Lakes is the outer edge of our regular area. We serve it at our normal rates, but we will usually try to schedule a couple of jobs up there together, so if you are flexible on the day it can move things along.

Tree service in Land O' Lakes: common questions

Do you really come this far north?
Yes, regularly. If you are north of State Road 52 give us a call anyway and we will tell you straight whether it is a sensible trip.
Can you handle a tree with no truck access at all?
Yes. Climbing and rigging by hand is standard for lakefront and back-acreage trees. It takes longer and the quote reflects that honestly.
